I. How does interweaving mythological tales lead to infinite story plots?
II. Can the pursuit of a Desire have more than one quest?

2. The potential of Godzilla X Kong's plot structure: $140-186MM

The interweaving of 32 mythological tales can generate a billion unique stories. By using these 32 tales, we can extract the plot structure of any story across various genres. Our study of blockbuster, hit, and flop plot structures led to the discovery of the Mythosis Code, a set of principles for creating compelling stories. The plot structure of a story is analyzed to see how well it adheres to these storytelling principles.

II. Aren’t box-office revenues influenced by several factors beyond just the story plot?

3. The ideal plot structure of Godzilla X Kong

We have identified 32 mythological tales, the superset of all tales across cultures. The quests of these tales have also recurred over time periods. They represent human behaviours that are deeply embedded in our shared memories. Each tale is the richest expression of the pursuit of a human desire. The tales have a unique pattern of events spread over 5 major arcs.

Mapping a character’s quest to the relevant mythological tale reveals the gaps in their quest, if any. Plugging these gaps with the missing events deepens the character quest. The missing events also provide an opportunity for interweaving the various quests. These events strengthen the story and unlock its hidden potential.

3A.Quest of characters and their mythological counterparts

Quest 1: Kong mirrors the universal quest for Tranquillity

Kong’s desire for Tranquillity stems from the need to be in secure surroundings. The tale of Odysseus from Greek mythology is the universal quest for Tranquillity.

In Godzilla x Kong, Kong borrows from the Greek mythological tale of Odysseus

Quest 2: Skar King mirrors the universal quest for Vengeance

Skar King’s desire for Vengeance stems from the need to confront offenders. The tale of Duryodhan from Hindu mythology is the universal quest for Vengeance.

Quest 3: Godzilla mirrors the universal quest for Honour

Godzilla’s desire for Honour stems from the need to be loyal to a clan or order. The tale of Hanuman from Hindu mythology is the universal quest for Honour.

In Godzilla x Kong, Godzilla borrows from the Hindu mythological tale of Hanuman

Quest 4: Suko mirrors the universal quest for Accumulation

Suko’s desire for Accumulation stems from the need to collect and own. The tale of Valmiki from Hindu mythology has a robust expression in Dicken’s character of Scrooge which is the universal quest for Accumulation.

In Godzilla x Kong, Suko borrows from the Hindu mythological tale of Valmiki

Even though the plot structure of Godzilla x Kong has six quests it relies only on Kong’s quest to move the story forward, not even Skar King. Morever, the plot structure is disjointed due to weak interweaving of quests.

The plot structure of Godzilla X Kong is a sub set of Mythosis Plot Structure # 813,009.

The current plot structure largely borrows from the quest of Odysseus & Duryodhan. Borrowing additional events from these tales marginally improves the story potential.

Since compelling stories have at least 3 powerful quests, it doesn’t solve the two issues of a. shallow quests of Godzilla, Suko, Jia & Ilene b. non-interweaving of quests.

Mythosis plot structure builds on the quests of both Godzilla & Suko alongwith the quests of Kong & Skar King.

It has the potential to generate revenues of $445 – 485MM in the domestic market.
